MacLogin (hereinafter "we" or "us") values user privacy. This Privacy Policy (hereinafter "this Policy") explains how we collect, process, store, and protect your personal information when you use maclogin.com and related services (collectively, the "Services").

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information:Email address, name (optional), and password (encrypted) provided during registration
  • Payment Information:Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We only retain transaction results, amounts, dates, and partial masked billing information. We do not store complete card or payment account information.
  • Support Content:Issue descriptions, attachments, and communication records you submit via the ticket system or email
  • Service Configuration:Server specs, data center region, and billing method you select

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • Access Logs:IP addresses, HTTP request info, access timestamps, referrer pages, browser type, and operating system
  • Device Identifiers:Device type and client unique identifier (SSAID) generated by us, used for security verification and anomaly detection
  • Service Usage Data:Login times, feature usage frequency, console operation logs, bandwidth and resource consumption statistics
  • Cookies and Local Storage:Used to maintain session state, store language preferences, and improve user experience (see Section 6)

2How We Use Information

The information we collect will be used for the following purposes, all of which are necessary for providing the Services or within our legitimate interests:

  • Providing and managing services:Creating accounts, activating and managing server instances, processing payments and renewals
  • Authentication and security:Verifying user identity, detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
  • Customer support:Responding to ticket requests and troubleshooting technical issues
  • Service improvement:Analyzing usage patterns, optimizing platform performance, and developing new features; analysis data is processed in aggregated or anonymized form
  • Service notifications:Sending billing notifications, expiry reminders, maintenance announcements, security alerts, and other service-related emails
  • Marketing:Sending product updates or promotional information we believe may be of value to you, unless you have explicitly opted out
  • Legal compliance:Complying with applicable laws, responding to lawful requests from law enforcement, and exercising or defending our legal rights
  • Platform research:Using technical logs and performance data in anonymized form to improve infrastructure stability

3Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information.We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

3.1 Service Providers

To operate the Services, we share minimal information with necessary third-party service providers, including:

  • Payment processors (handling transactions, subject to their own privacy policies)

  • Self-hosted analytics tools (Matomo, data stored on servers we control)
  • Network infrastructure providers

3.3 Business Restructuring

In the event of a merger, acquisition, asset transfer, or bankruptcy, user information may be transferred to the acquiring party as part of the assets. We will notify you in advance via a platform announcement, and the acquiring party will be bound by the same terms of this Policy.

4Data Retention

We retain your information according to the following principles:

  • Account Information:Retained during the account's existence and for a reasonable period after account deletion (up to 12 months) to fulfill legal compliance requirements
  • Transaction records:Billing and payment records retained for at least7 years
  • Access Logs:Typically retained for90 daysfor security auditing and troubleshooting
  • Ticket records:Retained during the account's existence and for12 monthsafter account deletion
  • Server data:Permanently deleted within72 hoursafter service termination

Information required by legal obligations to be retained for longer periods will be retained for the legally required duration.

5Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information:

  • Transmission encryption:All data transmissions use TLS 1.2+ encryption
  • Password security:Passwords are stored using a strong hashing algorithm (bcrypt); original passwords cannot be retrieved
  • Access control:Employee access to user data is strictly restricted, following the principle of least privilege
  • Physical security:Data centers are equipped with 24×7 physical access controls
  • Security audits:Regular internal security reviews and vulnerability scans are conducted
No method of internet transmission or electronic storage can guarantee 100% security. We cannot guarantee absolute security.In the event of a data security incident affecting your rights and interests, we will notify you in a timely manner as required by law.

6Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use the following types of cookies and local storage technologies:

Essential Cookies
Maintain login session state and ensure the service functions properly. Cannot be disabled.
Functional Cookies
Store language preferences and interface settings for a personalized experience.
Analytics Cookies
Track page views and user behavior via self-hosted Matomo; data is not shared with third parties.
Security Identifiers
Client unique identifier (SSAID) stored locally, used for login security verification and anomaly detection.

You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies will prevent the service from functioning properly.

7Your Rights and Choices

Under applicable data protection laws, you may have the following rights. To submit a request, please contact us via the ticket system and we will respond within 30 days:

  • Right of Access:Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Right to Rectification:Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information (you can update basic information yourself in the console account settings)
  • Right to Erasure:Request deletion of your personal information after account cancellation; however, records required by law to be retained (such as transaction records) are not subject to deletion
  • Opt out of marketing:You may opt out of marketing notifications at any time via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our emails; service notifications (such as billing reminders) cannot be unsubscribed
  • Withdraw consent:If processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal

While your account is still active, some deletion requests may not be immediately fulfilled to ensure we can continue providing the service and fulfilling legal obligations.

8Minors

This service is not intended for persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child has provided us with personal information without authorization, please contact us immediately via a support ticket and we will delete it as soon as possible.

9Cross-border Data Transfers

MacLogin operates data centers in Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, and the United States. Your information may be stored or processed on servers outside your country or region. Data protection legal requirements may vary across different countries and regions.

We ensure cross-border transferred data receives adequate protection through: data processing agreements with data recipients, industry-standard security measures, and compliance with applicable data transfer requirements.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We bear no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or security measures of third-party websites. We recommend reading the privacy policy of any third-party website before accessing it.

11Policy Updates

We may revise this Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date at the top.

For material changes (such as substantial changes to how we use your information), we will notify you via your registered email or in-platform notification. Your continued use of the service after the change is published constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. If you do not accept the changes, please stop using the service and delete your account.
